Katea Ravouvou’s impressive performance, featuring two tries, led Natabua High School to a 20-15 victory against Adi Cakobau School in a gripping Raluve Trophy Under-18 final.
Natabua got off to a strong start with a try from center Ruth Tuitabou, although the conversion attempt was unsuccessful. Adi Cakobau School quickly responded with a try from halfback Noelani Baselala, leveling the score at 5-5.
Just before halftime, Natabua’s winger, Katea Ravouvou, added to the score with a try, giving her team a 10-5 lead at the break.
After the halftime interval, Ravouvou scored her second try, although the conversion missed once again. Natabua then extended their lead to 20-5 with a further try from Laisani Gudrunalawalawa.
Adi Cakobau School fought back with tries from Roiva Kalouniuca and Imeri Nasali, bringing the score to a close 20-15. Despite their commendable effort, they were unable to equalize, leaving Natabua High School crowned as champions.
