The Police women’s touch rugby team delivered an impressive performance, securing a narrow 4-3 victory at the Buckhurst Park grounds in Laucala Bay, Suva yesterday. Both teams displayed a fierce determination to win, but the women from Nasova ultimately emerged triumphant.

Mere Taleitaki Luvu, the team’s manager, shared her gratitude for the victory and recognized the strength and skills of their opponents, the women in red from Delainabua. She noted that the challenge posed by the Army was significant and acknowledged their improvement this season.

Luvu emphasized the team’s preparation for this competition, highlighting the effective coaching they had received leading up to the match. The win not only brought joy to the team but also served as a testament to the camaraderie between the military forces, as they celebrated their achievements together throughout the week.

In addition to the women’s match, the competition featured notable results in other categories, with the Army men’s team triumphing over Police 3-2, while the mixed category saw Police also defeating Army 4-3.
