Nasinu Secondary School has advanced to the finals of the Vodafone Deans Trophy after a hard-fought 33-20 victory against Cuvu College in the Under-18 semifinal.
Nasinu took the initiative early in the match with a converted try from Rafaele Dagaga, establishing a 7-0 lead. Cuvu responded with a try from their captain, Josaia Ralulu, which was unconverted, bringing the score to 7-5.
Viliame Matailevu of Nasinu then scored two more converted tries, extending their lead to 21-5. Cuvu rallied back with two unconverted tries, reducing the deficit to 21-15 by halftime.
In the second half, Cuvu continued their push and scored a fourth unconverted try, bringing the score to 21-20. Nasinu quickly countered, increasing their lead to 28-20, and secured their victory with another try just before the final whistle, concluding the match at 33-20.
