After months of diligent effort and preparation, students from Nasinu Muslim College (NMC) achieved first place during the Fiji Secondary Schools Biology Battle held yesterday. The competition, which focused on biology and chemistry, was organized by the Chemical Society of the South Pacific (CSSP) at the University of the South Pacific.
Jai Narayan College secured second place in the biology category, while Nadi Sangam SKM College finished in third. In the chemistry segment, Labasa College emerged victorious, followed by Rishikul Sanatan College in second place and Savusavu Secondary School in third.
Mohammed Aamir Khan, the team captain and head boy of Nasinu Muslim College, expressed pride in his team, stating, “We could not have achieved this without them, as they form an integral part of this accomplishment. I hope next year they will continue this legacy and bring more pride to NMC.” He added, “I participated in the bio battle last year but we did not win any trophies. From that moment, I was determined to make this year different and to achieve success.”
