Students from Nasinu Muslim College (NMC) celebrated a significant victory after securing first place in the Fiji Secondary Schools Biology Battle held yesterday. This event, which focuses on biology and chemistry competitions, was organized by the Chemical Society of the South Pacific (CSSP) at the University of the South Pacific.
Jai Narayan College finished in second place in the biology category, while Nadi Sangam SKM College came in third. In the chemistry competition, Labasa College achieved first place, followed by Rishikul Sanatan College in second and Savusavu Secondary School in third.
Team captain and head boy of NMC, Mohammed Aamir Khan, expressed his pride in the team’s hard work, stating, “I am very proud of my team; we could not have achieved without them. They form an integral part of this achievement. I hope next year they will continue this legacy and make NMC’s name proud again.” Reflecting on last year’s experience, Khan noted, “I was here last year when I took part in the bio battle, but we did not win any trophies. From last year, I was determined to make it happen this year.”
