Naitasiri Students Receive Compassionate Pass After Accident

Seventeen students from Naitasiri Secondary School involved in a recent accident will be granted a compassionate pass, pending the necessary evaluations from the Sub Divisional Medical Officer and the Head of School. This was confirmed by the Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro.

The accident took place at the Saumakia Junction in Navuniyasi Village, attributed to the driver losing control of the vehicle. Injured students were quickly transported to Vunidawa Hospital for treatment. Minister Radrodro emphasized that specific details regarding the cause of the incident are still under investigation, and no further information can be disclosed at this time.

In addition to the compassionate pass, Mr. Radrodro encouraged students and their families to seek compensation from the Accident Compensation Commission Fiji (ACCF) based on reports from the police and medical authorities. The Head of School will provide support in filling out claims.
