Mahajibhai Hardware, a company based in Nadi, has pledged its support for the local district football team as they prepare for the FMF Inter-District Championship 2024. This announcement was made during a cheque presentation of $7,500 in Martintar, Nadi, yesterday, where company director Sudhish Patel expressed that this is their first time sponsoring the district team.
Patel emphasized the significance of supporting Nadi Football and its community, noting the team’s hard work and improved results. He expressed optimism for the team’s success, wishing them luck in bringing home the trophy this year.
Nadi Football Association president Mohin Rafiq called the sponsorship from Mahajibhai Hardware a blessing for the entire Nadi football community, especially during such challenging times for companies to provide sponsorships of this magnitude. He announced that the team will be named Mahajibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi due to having two principal sponsors.
Rafiq personally acknowledged head coach Raj Dayal and the dedicated members of the Calgary community supporting Nadi, as well as fans worldwide. He shared that the team is eager for the upcoming IDC and is focused on delivering strong performances, with a detailed plan in place for the tournament.
The coaches and board of control are providing robust support for the team’s preparations. Nadi will face off against the defending champions Ba in their opening match next Tuesday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
