Nadi-based company Mahajibhai Hardware has announced its support for the district football team in preparation for the FMF Inter-District Championship 2024. This was made official during a cheque presentation of $7,500 held in Martintar, Nadi, where company director Sudhish Patel expressed that this is the first time they are sponsoring the district team.
Patel highlighted his desire to support Nadi Football and its community, acknowledging the hard work and improved performance of the players. He expressed optimism for the team’s success in the tournament, wishing them luck and hoping they bring home the trophy this year.
Nadi Football Association president Mohin Rafiq welcomed the sponsorship, describing it as a blessing for the entire Nadi football community, particularly in these challenging times for sponsorships. Rafiq announced that the team would be officially recognized as Mahajibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi due to the presence of two major sponsors.
Rafiq also conveyed his gratitude to the head coach Raj Dayal and all supporters of Nadi from around the world, emphasizing the team’s commitment to performing well in the upcoming competition with a solid plan in place. He noted the strong support from coaches and the board of control during the team’s preparation.
Nadi will face the defending champions Ba in their first match on Tuesday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
