Mahajibhai Hardware from Nadi has announced its support for the local district football team as they prepare for the FMF Inter-District Championship 2024. This commitment was highlighted during a cheque presentation of $7,500 held in Martintar, Nadi, where director Sudhish Patel stated that this marks the company’s inaugural sponsorship of the district team.
Patel expressed his enthusiasm for supporting Nadi Football, praising the team’s hard work and recent improvements in their performance. He conveyed his hopes for the team to achieve victory in the upcoming tournament, wishing them the best of luck in bringing home the trophy.
Nadi Football Association president Mohin Rafiq acknowledged the sponsorship from Mahajibhai Hardware as a significant blessing for the Nadi football community, especially given the challenging economic climate that makes securing such sponsorships difficult.
Rafiq mentioned that the team will be referred to as Mahajibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi due to having two major sponsors. He expressed gratitude towards head coach Raj Dayal and the dedicated team members in Calgary, as well as supporters worldwide, as they prepare for the upcoming IDC. He reassured fans that they are working on a solid plan for the tournament.
With the support of their coaches and board of control, the team is optimistically preparing for their first match against the defending champions, Ba, next Tuesday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
