Mahajibhai Hardware, a company based in Nadi, has announced its support for the Nadi district team in preparation for the upcoming FMF Inter-District Championship 2024. This announcement was made during a cheque presentation of $7,500 held in Martintar, Nadi, where the company’s director, Sudhish Patel, expressed his enthusiasm for supporting the team for the first time.
Patel stated his commitment to supporting Nadi Football and its community, noting the hard work and improvements demonstrated by the players. He conveyed his hopes for the team to succeed in the tournament, wishing them the best of luck in their quest to bring the trophy home this year.
Nadi Football Association president, Mohin Rafiq, described the sponsorship from Mahajibhai Hardware as a significant boost for the entire Nadi football community, especially during challenging times for companies seeking to contribute financially. He announced that the team would officially be referred to as Mahajibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi, as they have secured two major sponsors.
Rafiq extended his gratitude to head coach Raj Dayal and all those supporting the Nadi team, both locally and internationally. He expressed optimism for the upcoming IDC, mentioning that they have a solid plan in place for success. Coaches and board members are fully supportive of the team’s preparations as they gear up to face the defending champions, Ba, in their opening match next Tuesday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
