Nadi’s Mahajibhai Hardware has stepped up to support the district football team ahead of the FMF Inter-District Championship 2024.
During a cheque presentation of $7,500 held in Martintar, Nadi, company director Sudhish Patel announced that this marks their inaugural sponsorship of the district team.
“I want to support Nadi Football and its community, especially since the boys have been working hard and improving their results,” Patel stated. He expressed hope that the team will succeed in the tournament, wishing them luck in their quest to bring home the trophy this year.
Nadi Football Association president Mohin Rafiq described the sponsorship from Mahajibhai Hardware as a great blessing for the Nadi football community. Rafiq acknowledged the challenges faced by companies in these times, making such support particularly meaningful.
To reflect this partnership, the team will be recognized as Mahajibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi, given that they have two primary sponsors. Rafiq extended his gratitude to head coach Raj Dayal and all supporters contributing from Calgary and around the world. He emphasized their determination in the upcoming IDC and outlined their strategic approach to the tournament.
The team’s coaches and board of control are fully backing the preparation efforts. Nadi is set to face the defending champions, Ba, in their opening match next Tuesday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
