Mahajibhai Hardware, a company based in Nadi, has announced its support for the local district football team as they prepare for the upcoming FMF Inter-District Championship 2024. This was highlighted during a cheque presentation of $7,500 that took place in Martintar, Nadi, where Sudhish Patel, the company director, expressed this as their inaugural sponsorship of the team.
Patel emphasized his commitment to supporting Nadi Football and the surrounding community, especially noting the team’s hard work and improved performance. He expressed hope for the team’s success in the tournament, wishing them luck and encouraging them to bring home the trophy this year.
Mohin Rafiq, president of the Nadi Football Association, acknowledged the sponsorship from Mahajibhai Hardware as a significant blessing for the entire Nadi football community, especially during these challenging times for sponsors. He shared that the team will be recognized as Mahajibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi due to their collaboration with two major sponsors.
Rafiq thanked head coach Raj Dayal and the dedicated supporters in Calgary and worldwide for their support. He expressed optimism for the upcoming IDC, mentioning that the team has a solid plan in place for the tournament. He also noted the strong backing from coaches and board members during the team’s preparations. Nadi will face defending champions Ba in their opening match next Tuesday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
