South Pacific Boxing Promotion has announced an exciting lineup of 11 bouts, including three international matches, during the official event launch in Suva. Adi Narayan, chairman of the Boxing Commission of Fiji (BCF), expressed his enthusiasm, noting that this occasion marks a significant milestone for the Commission, particularly as it has been three years since the last event featured multiple international fights.

Narayan commended promoters Freddy Chand and Mohammed Shaheem for their hard work in organizing the event and acknowledged the financial challenges involved in hosting international title fights. However, he emphasized the valuable opportunity this provides for local boxers to compete on an international stage.

“I must take the opportunity to thank the promoters, Freddy Chand, and his partner Mohammed Shaheem,” Narayan stated. “They have organized this costly title bout, and it allows our boxers to showcase their skills internationally. IBO Australia has endorsed this program and fully supports it. All contracts have been signed except for one or two, promising a highly anticipated night on October 26 in Nadi.”

Promoter Freddy Chand thanked everyone who contributed to making the event a reality, including sponsors LICI and community supporters, and encouraged the public to attend and back local boxing on October 26 in Nadi.

The international headline fights will feature Winston Hill battling Australia’s Lachlan O’Shea for the IBO Asia Pacific Super Welterweight title, while Sebastian “The Sniper” Singh will face Tonga’s Tonga Tongotongo for the IBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title. Additionally, Ubayd Haider will compete against China’s Runqi Zhou for the IBO Asia Pacific Featherweight title. The event is scheduled to take place at King Charles Park in Nadi on October 26.
