Nabua White Stages Epic Comeback to Reach Koroturaga Cup Final

Nabua White staged a comeback to secure their place in the Koroturaga Cup final, defeating Savura Green 22-16 at Buckhurst Park in Suva yesterday.

Savura Green initially maintained control in the first half, showcasing a strong defensive strategy that prevented Nabua from scoring. However, despite this, Nabua managed to keep the score close, trailing by only three points at halftime with a score of 10-13.

The second half brought a thrilling turn of events, as Nabua seized the opportunity to dominate the game. Their performance elevated them above their Tamavua rivals, earning them a spot in the Koroturaga championship final.

Fans and supporters celebrated in green shirts, dancing and singing traditional Fijian songs, which added vibrancy to the tense atmosphere as both teams battled for victory on the field.

After the match, players from both teams expressed gratitude on social media for the support from their families and friends who turned out at the venue.

As the Koroturaga Cup final approaches, Nabua will face Covenant Red, who secured their final placement with a narrow 23-22 victory over Marist OB.
