Nabil Begg is set to enhance the efforts of defending champions RC Manubhai Ba FC as they prepare for the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship, which begins today at Churchill Park.
Begg, who currently plays in Auckland, is a dedicated athlete with a strong football background. He has gained a regular position on the Ba district team and has represented the Digicel Fiji U20 National team at the renowned FIFA U20 World Cup.
His passion for football has been evident since childhood, showcasing remarkable skills that attracted local coaches and scouts who recognized his potential early on.
Known for his versatility, Begg excels in both midfield and forward positions, leveraging his agility, technical skills, and exceptional vision to contribute significantly to both attacking plays and defensive efforts. His contributions were vital in Ba’s success in last year’s IDC.
Ba FC’s interim coach, Timoci Seru, expressed confidence in the team’s preparation process after their final match in the Digicel Premier League, stating that they plan to address their mistakes and develop a more robust game structure for the IDC.
“We will work on our strengths, iron out all our weaknesses, and prepare a strong game structure,” Seru stated.
