Mystery Surrounds Exclusive Launch at Nadi Airport

The much-anticipated launch of the COMO Laucala Island hangar at Nadi International Airport took place yesterday in a private event, surrounded by an air of mystery. The soft launch was closed to the public, with only government officials from the Information arm in attendance.

Trade Minister Manoa Kamikamica noted that the occasion signals a positive shift in the business environment. The hangar, which represents a multi-million dollar investment project, faced numerous challenges and setbacks during its five-year development, including Stop Order notices issued during the previous Bainimarama administration.

Mr. Kamikamica highlighted that it was Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka who permitted the project to resume after it had been halted by the prior government. Laucala Island is known as a luxurious destination for high-profile individuals and contributes approximately $3 million in foreign exchange to Fiji on a monthly basis. As part of its facilities, COMO Laucala Island features a private lounge at Nadi International Airport.
