Melaia Ratotodro, the oldest daughter, was overcome with emotion as the ship docked at Port Mua-i-Walu, remembering and honoring her father’s legacy. “Our dad, who dedicated over 30 years to Goundar Shipping Limited, passed away last October. We are incredibly grateful to the company for commemorating him with this vessel,” she shared, reflecting on his hard work and dedication.
George Goundar, managing director of Goundar Shipping, acknowledged the significant role Mr. Ratotodro played in the company’s foundation. “He was not just an employee; he was a close friend and a vital part of our journey. The MV Captain Inoke is now captained by Sainimere Qutonilaba, a talented individual who began her journey with Goundar Shipping as a cadet in 2011. She has demonstrated remarkable skill and has been instrumental in bringing new vessels into the fleet.
