Members of Parliament are set to receive laptops equipped with Windows 11 Business or Pro, along with the latest high-end mobile phones, according to tender documents released by the Department of Information Technology and Computing Services.

The tender indicates that ITC Services aims to engage a reliable supplier or vendor for the procurement of these devices for Members of Parliament. The laptops required will feature a 14-inch screen, support for pen and touch input, and storage options of either 512 gigabytes or 1 terabyte.

Details regarding the mobile phones mention only that they should be categorized as “high-end mobile devices – latest.”

As per a motion passed by the Special Committee on Emoluments in May, Members of Parliament will now have the ability to keep the gadgets they are provided during their term, which includes mobile phones, laptops, and iPads.
