Members of Parliament are set to receive new laptops running Windows 11 Business or Pro, along with the latest high-end mobile phones, according to tender documents from the Department of Information Technology and Computing Services. The tender seeks a suitable vendor to supply these devices to Parliament members.
The laptops requested will feature a 14-inch screen, support for pen and touch screen functionalities, and storage options of either 512 gigabytes or 1 terabyte. The specifications for the mobile phones are less detailed, simply described as “high-end mobile devices – latest.”
Recent changes approved by the Special Committee on Emoluments in May allow Parliament members to keep the gadgets issued to them, which now include mobile phones, laptops, and iPads.
