Motibhai Group Shines at Fiji HR Awards with Five Prestigious Wins

At the 2024 Fiji Human Resources Institute (FHRI) Awards in Suva, the Motibhai Group received five prestigious awards, underscoring its commitment to excellence in human resources practices, according to Sanjay Kumar, the Group Manager for People Culture, Admin, and Insurances. The awards included:

– Gold Award for HR Talent Development
– Gold Award for HR Environment and Sustainability in Practice
– Silver Award for HR Emerging Leader (Artika Devi – Human Resources Coordinator)
– Bronze Award for HR Visionary Leader (Kirit Patel – Chairman and CEO)
– Bronze Award for HR Transformative Leader (Sanjay Kumar)

Kumar stated that these achievements affirm the group’s innovative approach to employee development and management, highlighting its reputation as a leader in human resources. He emphasized the company’s focus on creating an environment that allows employees to thrive and grow professionally in a competitive market.

He reflected on the company’s transformation from a small grocery shop to a significant player in Fiji’s business landscape, constantly adapting to meet customer needs through investments in technology, expansion into new markets, and modernizing its operations. Under the leadership of Chairman Kirit Patel, the group has navigated economic challenges while ensuring sustainable growth.

Kumar highlighted the importance of employee development, crediting local and international trainers for bolstering a skilled and motivated workforce. He underscored the motto “Our People, Our Strength,” emphasizing the company’s commitment to continuous learning and employee satisfaction.

He shared his personal achievement of winning the HR Transformative Leader award, crediting his success to his belief in the pivotal role of people in business and acknowledging the inspiration drawn from Patel’s leadership style.

One notable award, the Gold for HR Environment and Sustainability in Practice, reflects Motibhai’s commitment to integrating sustainable practices into its operations. Kumar noted initiatives like installing solar panels at the Motibhai Business Park to reduce carbon footprints and reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

The Gold Award for HR Talent Development also highlights the Group’s dedication to investing in employee growth and skill development, providing access to training necessary for professional advancement. The emphasis on mentoring and coaching programs prepares employees for leadership roles within the organization.
