Motibhai Group Boosts Employee Engagement with Innovative Upskilling Initiative

In a world where retaining talent is increasingly important, the Motibhai Group is taking the lead with its novel strategy for upskilling its employees. The firm recently conducted a two-day executive leadership workshop for around 45 managers, aimed at boosting self-awareness, enhancing motivational abilities, and fostering skills to negotiate changes in Fiji’s work culture and manage change efficiently.

The workshop was led by Mark Wager, a well-known international trainer and the chief leadership coach at the Australasian Leadership Institute. According to Wastika Chandra, Motobhai Group’s manager for Human Resources, Training and Compliance, the training not only offered significant learning prospects but also fostered a nurturing environment where employees feel inspired to develop and succeed.

Chandra pointed out that the training centered on increasing the management team’s confidence and improving their decision-making abilities. She believes well-trained managers can comprehend and cater to their teams’ requirements more effectively, leading to heightened employee engagement and satisfaction.

Sanjay Kumar, the firm’s Group manager for People and Culture, Admin, thanked the company for investing in employee training. He insisted that by equipping their employees with the necessary tools to learn, train, and mentor each other effectively, they are augmenting productivity and fostering a sense of camaraderie and engagement throughout the company.

He highlighted that amidst the firm’s passionate pursuit of continued business growth, they have recognized the importance of the employees’ welfare and professional growth. He stressed that the ever-changing business landscape necessitates effective management of change, which their training programs address, ensuring that their teams stay resilient and adaptable. The training will not cease with the workshop; participants will keep advancing through ongoing coaching dialogues at the workplace, helping the Motibhai Group develop its own high-performing individuals that promote an inclusive and respectful work culture.
