Tokasa Nadagalu delivered a powerful message about the strength of love in overcoming hatred and darkness when she was crowned Miss Vodafone Gold ‘N’ Water 2024 at Garvey Park in Tavua last Saturday night. The 19-year-old, who was sponsored by the vanua o Tavualevu, hails from Tavua Village and was raised by relatives after her father left the family. Tragically, her mother passed away when Nadagalu was just 14 years old.
During her crowning moment, she encouraged her fellow youths with the phrase, “Never Give Up,” emphasizing her belief that her success was a result of divine support. She quoted the late Mother Teresa, saying, “Only love can drive out darkness and hatred,” underscoring the theme of her message.
Nadagalu expressed gratitude to her main sponsor, Vodafone Fiji, as well as to the Tavualevu community and Krishna Goundar for their support throughout her journey.
