Only love can conquer hatred and darkness, according to Tokasa Nadagalu’s message after she was crowned Miss Vodafone Gold ‘N’ Water 2024 at Garvey Park in Tavua last Saturday night.
The 19-year-old Nadagalu, sponsored by the vanua o Tavualevu, hails from Tavua Village and was raised by relatives following her father’s departure from the family. Tragically, her mother passed away when Nadagalu was just 14 years old.
During her crowning ceremony, she encouraged her peers with the words “Never Give Up.” The newly crowned queen expressed her gratitude to God for her achievement.
After receiving her crown, she cited the late Mother Teresa, saying, “Only love can drive out darkness and hatred.” Nadagalu also recognized her major sponsor, Vodafone Fiji, and thanked the Tavualevu community, along with Krishna Goundar, for their support.
