The winner of the Miss Universe Fiji pageant will travel to Mexico City to compete in the Miss Universe international final on December 24.

Grant Dwyer, the marketing, events, and sponsorship director for Miss Universe Fiji, highlighted that Fiji last participated in the prestigious event in 1981, represented by Lynn Michelle McDonald.

The Lux Project’s Fiji, an international property development company, has acquired the Miss Universe Fiji licence and aims to revitalise the event. Dwyer emphasized the focus on selecting a positive role model, promoting Fiji as a premier travel destination, and showcasing the country’s natural beauty, pristine environment, fashion, culture, and friendly people. Additionally, the event aims to raise awareness for positive causes and support charities.

Miss Universe Fiji and its organisers are seeking partnerships with Fiji’s premier organisations, brands, and experiences to enhance public relations and achieve positive outcomes. They are also looking to nurture links with Australia, Asia, India, New Zealand, the USA, and south pacific neighbors.

The Pearl Resort & Spa Fiji in Pacific Harbor will be the official host of the 2024 Miss Universe Fiji national final on August 30. The top 10 national finalists will arrive on August 28 to participate in various competitions.

The panel of esteemed judges includes Paris Gade, the Miss Universe Fiji national director, Grant Dwyer, the Miss Universe Fiji marketing, events & sponsorship director, Natalie Marletta, the general manager of Pearl Resort & Spa Fiji, Riri Febriani from Lux Projects Fiji, Bollywood actor and talent mentor Raj Suri, Jennifer Chan, a USA on-air TV host and style and beauty expert, and Melissa Walter, the South Pacific director of Seakeepers.org.
