Miss Universe Fiji contestants visited the maternity ward at Navua Hospital yesterday as part of their activities. During this visit, they engaged with Dr. Kapil Swamy, the Senior District Medical Officer for Serua and Namosi, midwife Samantha Banner from the Navua Maternity Unit, and Salote Matanayawa, Commander of the Navua Command Centre. The contestants inquired about the current challenges faced by young mothers in the country.
Additionally, the contestants participated in an educational session led by Melissa White, the director of the International Seakeepers Society for the South Pacific, which focused on oceanographic research and conservation efforts. Miss Universe Fiji has partnered with The Pearl Resort & Spa to host the 2024 National Final.
The Miss Universe Fiji pageant is set to culminate tonight with the crowning of the new titleholder at Pacific Harbour.
