Contestants of Miss Universe Fiji visited the maternity ward at Navua Hospital yesterday to participate in community activities. During their visit, they engaged with Dr. Kapil Swamy, the Senior District Medical Officer for Serua/Namosi, midwife Samantha Banner from the Navua Maternity Unit, and Salote Matanayawa, Commander of the Navua Command Centre. The discussions focused on the current challenges faced by young mothers in the country.
The contestants also took part in an educational session led by Melissa White, the South Pacific Director of the International Seakeepers Society, which covered topics related to oceanographic research and conservation. Miss Universe Fiji has partnered with The Pearl Resort & Spa to host the upcoming 2024 Miss Universe Fiji National Final.
The crowned Miss Universe Fiji will be announced tonight at an event in Pacific Harbour.
