The winner of the Miss Universe Fiji pageant will travel to Mexico City to compete in the Miss Universe international final on December 24.
Miss Universe Fiji’s marketing, events, and sponsorship director Grant Dwyer noted that Fiji last took part in this glamorous event in 1981, with Lynn Michelle McDonald representing the nation.
Dwyer stated that Lux Projects Fiji, an international property development company, has acquired the Miss Universe Fiji Licence and is excited to revive this prestigious event.
“The focus is on selecting a positive role model, promoting Fiji as a premier travel destination, showcasing the natural beauty of the country, the pristine environment, the fashion, the culture, and the friendliness for which Fiji is known. Additionally, raising awareness for positive causes and supporting charities,” Dwyer explained.
Miss Universe Fiji and its organisers are looking to collaborate with Fiji’s leading organisations, brands, and experiences.
“Our goal is to enhance public relations and achieve positive outcomes, while nurturing connections with Australia, Asia, India, New Zealand, USA, and our South Pacific neighbors,” he added.
Miss Universe Fiji has partnered with the Pearl Resort & Spa Fiji in Pacific Harbor as the official host of the 2024 Miss Universe Fiji national final, set for August 30.
The top 10 national finalists will arrive on August 28 and will participate in a series of competitions.
The panel of esteemed judges includes: Miss Universe Fiji national director Paris Gade, Miss Universe Fiji marketing, events, and sponsorship director Grant Dwyer, Pearl Resort & Spa Fiji general manager Natalie Marletta, Lux Projects Fiji’s Riri Febriani, Bollywood actor and talent mentor Raj Suri, USA on-air TV host, style, and beauty expert Jennifer Chan, and SeaKeepers.org South Pacific director Melissa Walter.
