Miss Nasinu 2024, Vinaina Marawa, is committed to addressing the critical issue of domestic violence in Fiji. Having personally witnessed the impact of domestic violence, Marawa noted that she and her family deeply understand the experience of being victims.
“I’ve chosen to be an agent of change,” she expressed. During this year’s Nasinu Festival, which emphasized community involvement, each contestant was assigned a project to enhance their local area.
Marawa stated, “I was able to connect with my community and identify the challenges they face and the areas requiring assistance.” Following her victory, she plans to continue engaging with her community to implement the projects she developed in collaboration with fellow contestants.
