Vinaina Marawa, the titleholder of Miss Nasinu 2024, is committed to raising awareness about the critical issue of domestic violence in Fiji. Having personally experienced domestic violence, she and her family are well-acquainted with the impact of being victims.
Marawa expressed her determination to be an agent of change, stating, “I’ve chosen myself to be an agent of change.” During this year’s Nasinu Festival, which emphasized community engagement, each contestant was tasked with a project aimed at addressing local issues.
Marawa successfully connected with her community to learn about their challenges and identified areas needing assistance. Following her victory, she plans to maintain her outreach efforts, working to implement the community projects she developed alongside her fellow contestants.
