Miss Nasinu 2024 Vinaina Marawa remains committed to addressing the critical issue of domestic violence in Fiji. Having personally experienced domestic violence, she and her family can deeply relate to the struggles faced by victims.
Marawa stated, “I’ve chosen myself to be an agent of change.” This year’s Nasinu Festival emphasized community engagement, with each contestant tasked with a project aimed at addressing local issues.
Through her efforts, Marawa connected with her community to understand the challenges they encounter and the areas that require assistance. Following her victory, she expressed her intention to continue engaging with her community and to implement the projects she developed alongside the other contestants.
