The Minister of Lands and Minerals Resources, Filimoni Vosarogo, took a break from his parliamentary responsibilities to participate in the official launch of the McDonald’s Inter-District Championship.
During his speech at the event, Minister Vosarogo highlighted the significance of government support in sports, which plays a crucial role in developing young talent throughout Fiji.
“I’m really encouraged; in fact, I had to request leave from the Speaker of the House since Parliament is in session this week, and today is the last day. I had to ask for leave to be here with you. This demonstrates that your government is equally invested in the growth of soccer in the country,” Vosarogo stated.
The tournament, showcasing emerging soccer players from various districts, is currently being held at Nasinu Muslim Primary School and will wrap up tomorrow.
