Minister Tabuya Delivers Joyful Day at Fijian Flying Circus for Children’s Home

The Minister for Women, Children, and Social Protection, Lynda Tabuya, hosted an enjoyable afternoon for children from St. Christopher’s Home, Dilkusha Home, and Pearly Gates Home at the Vou Fijian Flying Circus. The event took place yesterday and was filled with fun and laughter.

Joined by their devoted carers, Tabuya and 44 children, along with 20 of her own nieces and nephews, were captivated by the outstanding performance of the Vou dance and song troupe. This outing provided a refreshing change from the children’s usual weekend activities, allowing them to experience joy and excitement in a vibrant environment.

The happiness of the children and their carers was evident, as they sang throughout the journey home, emphasizing how much they enjoyed the circus and the positive effect it had on their spirits. Minister Tabuya shared her admiration for the performance, calling it the best homegrown show she has seen.

“I’ve witnessed many circus shows around the world, but this one stood out because of its unique Fijian essence. The performers elevated the humor and the Bula spirit,” she remarked.

Tabuya’s active engagement with the children during the event highlighted her commitment to enhancing the wellbeing and happiness of all children, especially those in State care. Her attendance at the Vou Fijian Flying Circus showcased her dedication to fostering joy for vulnerable children.
