The Republic of Fiji Military Forces launched a Community Work and Drug Awareness initiative yesterday as part of the preparations for the 2024 Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl. The collaborative efforts commenced in the morning at the Dilkusha Home, where the teams engaged in cleaning, maintenance tasks, and planting over a hundred cassava plants for the children.
In the afternoon, the team hosted a drug awareness session at Gospel High School, highlighting the detrimental effects of drug use. Joining the initiative at the school was Kalesi Volatabu, the founder of Drug Free World, along with representatives from the Health Ministry.
This community initiative is set to continue throughout the following week in anticipation of the upcoming Ratu Sukuna Bowl Games.
