Lako Yani Management Pte Limited, the business entity of the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma, has initiated the construction of a $46 million, 10-storey building on Stewart Street in Suva. The project is anticipated to be completed by June 2026.

Sereana Qoro, the chief executive officer of Lako Yani Management, announced that this building is one of two significant projects the company is undertaking this year. She mentioned that the new building will be located adjacent to the existing Reverend John Hunt building and will feature eight floors dedicated to office space, two floors for retail shops, and a food court along with various other business activities on the lower levels.

In addition to the Stewart Street project, Ms. Qoro confirmed that a service station is also under construction in Davuilevu, which is expected to take approximately 10 months to complete, aiming for a finish in 2025.

Furthermore, the organization has plans to develop Furnival Park into a comprehensive sports facility featuring a 4,000-seat stadium, a multi-purpose gym, and a parking area for 220 vehicles. The facility will also include an international standard rugby and soccer field, complete with a 1,000-seat pavilion. Ms. Qoro emphasized that the Furnival Park initiative is intended as a long-term project for the company.
