Methodist Church Faces Exodus Amid Leadership Crisis

Faithful members of the Methodist Church in Fiji are abandoning their congregation due to dissatisfaction with the “bad, inconsistent, and impractical leadership styles” within the church. This statement was made by Reverend Dr. Semisi Turagavou, the president of the Methodist Church of Fiji, during a conference held on Friday. Bainimarama was previously alleged to have made unauthorized calls from the Nasinu Correction Centre. Dr. Jalesi Nakarawa, commissioner of Fiji Corrections Services, mentioned that the SIM card was analyzed but found no outgoing calls. The High Court had permitted Bainimarama to use a phone to monitor his pacemaker app.
