The Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) Under-15 rugby team honored the memory of Senitiki Kuruvakadua’s late father by securing a 22-7 victory over Gospel High School (GHS) in the Vodafone Deans Trophy semi-finals.
MBHS U15 head coach Jone Temo expressed to SUNsports that the team’s success was aided by divine intervention.
“I instructed the players at halftime to enhance their line speed and defense, as Gospel posed a significant challenge,” Temo shared. “This focus will be key in our preparations for the final.”
Temo indicated that the team would also concentrate on improving their strength and conditioning ahead of their match against Suva Grammar School in the final.
“Most of our players are athletes, so their fitness levels are good. While there are a few minor injuries, I am optimistic they will all be ready to compete in the final.”
