The Under-15 rugby team from Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) honored the memory of their No.8 Senitiki Kuruvakadua’s late father with a 22-7 victory over Gospel High School (GHS) in the semi-finals of the Vodafone Deans Trophy.
MBHS U15 head coach Jone Temo expressed in an interview on Saturday that the win was supported by divine influence. He emphasized the importance of improving line speed and defense at halftime against a challenging opponent.
Looking ahead to the final match, Temo stated that their training would include enhancements in strength and conditioning as they prepare to take on Suva Grammar School. Most of the players, being athletes, are already fit, but there are a few minor injuries that they hope will resolve in time for the final.
