The Under-15 rugby team from Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) honored the memory of Senitiki Kuruvakadua’s late father by achieving a 22-7 victory against Gospel High School (GHS) in the Vodafone Deans Trophy semi-final.
In an interview with SUNsports on Saturday, MBHS U15 head coach Jone Temo attributed the victory to divine guidance.
“I instructed the players at halftime to improve their line speed and defense against a challenging Gospel side,” he noted. “This will be a key focus as we prepare for the final.”
Temo added that they plan to enhance their strength and conditioning in anticipation of facing Suva Grammar School in the final.
“Most of our players are athletes, so their fitness levels are good. We are dealing with a few minor injuries, but we’re hopeful they will recover in time for the final.”
