During a formal dinner and graduation event for the 2/24 Junior Staff Officers Course, held on October 4, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks Officers Mess in Nabua, Captain Lepani Vaniqi emphasized the significance of effective communication in leadership.
Captain Vaniqi, who serves as the Director of Finance, Logistics, and Acquisition, was the chief guest for the occasion. In his speech, he recognized the hard work and dedication of the Officers Training School staff, praising their commitment to the professionalism and successful completion of this year’s Junior Staff Officers Course.
He also underscored that communication is a reciprocal process, urging leaders to listen to feedback from their teams actively. By doing so, he noted, leaders show respect and acknowledge the contributions of their team members.
Captain Vaniqi concluded by stating, “Communication is not merely a tool for leadership; it is the essence of leadership itself. It empowers leaders to inspire, collaborate, manage change, and build relationships.”
