Massive New Church to Accommodate 40,000 Worshippers in Fiji!

The All Nations Christian Fellowship (ANCF) is planning to construct a church that will accommodate a congregation of 40,000 people. This announcement was made by ANCF General Superintendent, Reverend Epeli Ratabacaca, during the church’s Epic Rugby Sevens tournament at Prince Charles Park in Nadi last Friday.

Rev. Ratabacaca stated that the tournament served as a fundraising effort for the project. He mentioned that the church will be built on a 25-acre plot of land and is intended to serve all Christian denominations for various events.

“We have been inspired to build this facility for the entire body of Christ. We are thankful that God has chosen us for this purpose,” he commented.

He emphasized that the new church would not only serve the ANCF but would also be available for other Christian groups to hold conferences. Rev. Ratabacaca expressed concerns about using sports venues for worship, citing the recent Methodist Church Conference held at Vodafone Arena in Suva, which cost nearly half a million dollars for just one week.

“Sports grounds, including the Vodafone Arena, should not be considered a house of God. Many Christian conferences have taken place in such venues, which can be uncomfortable during rainy weather,” he stated. “This facility will be constructed to ensure comfort for worshippers.”
