“Massive New Church Project Set to Transform Community Worship”

The All Nations Christian Fellowship (ANCF) is planning to construct a church with the capacity to accommodate 40,000 congregants. This announcement was made by ANCF’s general superintendent, Reverend Epeli Ratabacaca, during the church’s Epic Rugby Sevens tournament held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi last Friday.

Rev Ratabacaca explained that the tournament serves as a fundraising effort for the church project. “We have a 25-acre plot of land designated for this church facility, which will serve 40,000 people,” he stated. The facility is intended for use by all Christian denominations for various events.

“We are motivated to create this facility for the entire body of Christ and are thankful that God has chosen us for this purpose. The church facility we are building will not only cater to our needs but will also be available for other Christian organizations to host conferences,” he added.

Rev Ratabacaca emphasized that sports venues are not suitable locations for worship. He cited an example of the Methodist Church Conference held at Vodafone Arena in Suva, which incurred nearly half a million dollars in costs for a week-long event. He expressed concerns about holding Christian annual conferences in sports grounds, particularly during inclement weather, stating that attendees often experience discomfort.

“This facility will ensure that we have a comfortable environment for worshipping God,” he concluded.
