The All Nations Christian Fellowship (ANCF) is set to construct a new church aimed at accommodating a congregation of 40,000. The announcement was made by ANCF General Superintendent, Reverend Epeli Ratabacaca, during the church’s Epic Rugby Sevens tournament held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi last Friday.
Reverend Ratabacaca indicated that the tournament serves as a fundraising initiative for the church project. The church will occupy a 25-acre site and is designed to be a versatile facility that can host events for all Christian denominations.
He expressed that the initiative is motivated by a desire to serve the wider Christian community, stating, “We are grateful that God has chosen us to do this.” The new facility is intended to host church conferences that may currently take place in sports venues, which he noted are less suitable for worship due to their lack of comfort and protection from the elements.
He pointed out that significant expenses are incurred when events are held in venues like the Vodafone Arena, highlighting the need for a dedicated space for worship. This new church facility aims to provide a comfortable environment for congregational activities and worship.
