Massive Church Project to Serve 40,000 Unveiled!

The All Nations Christian Fellowship (ANCF) is set to construct a church capable of accommodating a congregation of 40,000 individuals. This announcement was made by ANCF general superintendent, Reverend Epeli Ratabacaca, during the church’s Epic Rugby Sevens tournament at Prince Charles Park in Nadi last Friday.

Rev. Ratabacaca noted that the tournament serves as a fundraising initiative for the church project. He mentioned that the church will be built on a 25-acre plot of land and will be designed to host events for all Christian denominations.

“We have been inspired to build this facility for the entire body of Christ. We are thankful that God has chosen us for this task,” Rev. Ratabacaca stated. He added that the new church would also serve as a venue for church conferences for various Christian groups.

Rev. Ratabacaca expressed concerns about utilizing sports venues for worship, citing past experiences. He pointed out that the Methodist Church Conference recently spent nearly half a million dollars for a week-long conference at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

“Sports grounds, including Vodafone Arena, should not be considered houses of worship. Many Christian annual conferences have taken place in these venues, and members often face challenges such as getting wet and cold during rainy weather,” he said. “This new facility will provide a comfortable environment for worshipping God.”
