The All Nations Christian Fellowship (ANCF) has announced plans to construct a church designed to accommodate a congregation of 40,000 individuals. This initiative was shared by ANCF General Superintendent, Reverend Epeli Ratabacaca, during the church’s Epic Rugby Sevens tournament held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi last Friday.

Reverend Ratabacaca indicated that the tournament serves as a fundraising effort for the new church project. “We have secured a 25-acre site for this church facility, which will serve 40,000 people,” he stated.

He emphasized that the new facility will be accessible for events from all Christian denominations. “We are motivated to create this facility for the entire body of Christ and are thankful to God for entrusting us with this task. The church we are building will also be available for other denominations to utilize for their conferences.”

Additionally, Reverend Ratabacaca remarked that sports venues are not suitable locations for worship. He cited the Methodist Church Conference held at Vodafone Arena in Suva, which reportedly cost nearly half a million for just a week-long event.

“Sports grounds like Vodafone Arena are not houses of God. We’ve observed many Christian annual conferences taking place in sports venues, where attendees often get wet and cold during rainy conditions,” he noted. “This facility will be constructed to ensure a comfortable environment for worshipping God.”
