The Under-15 rugby team from Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) celebrated their 22-7 victory in the Vodafone Deans Trophy semi-final against Gospel High School (GHS) by honoring the memory of their No.8 Senitiki Kuruvakadua’s late father.
In an interview with SUNsports on Saturday, MBHS U15 head coach Jone Temo attributed the success to divine intervention. He emphasized the importance of focusing on line speed and defense during halftime against a strong Gospel team.
Looking ahead to the final against Suva Grammar School, Temo mentioned the team’s dedication to enhancing their strength and conditioning. With most players already being athletes, he expressed confidence in their fitness levels, despite a few minor injuries, and remained hopeful that all players would be ready for the final match.
