Marijuana Discovery Shocks Kindergarten Community

Marijuana has been found on the grounds of a kindergarten in Kinoya, Nasinu. Acting Police Commissioner Juki Fong Chew confirmed the discovery, stating that an investigation is underway to trace its origin and how it came to be at the educational facility.

Mr. Chew noted that there have been multiple instances of children being found with drugs and related items. He emphasized that these children are innocent, often carrying drugs because someone else intends to collect them. He stressed that parents and guardians should be held accountable for these situations.

When young individuals are found with illegal substances, Mr. Chew explained that specific protocols are followed to handle the matter correctly. This includes the presence of parents during questioning and involving teachers if the incident occurs within the school.

Continuous counseling is provided to help young people understand the detrimental effects of drugs, with a strong message against drug use and trafficking. He also mentioned that police conduct daily arrests of individuals in possession of illegal drugs.
