A recent operation by the Fiji Detector Dog Unit in a Lami settlement led to the arrest of two men for allegedly possessing nearly 100 branches of dried leaves thought to be marijuana. According to police, the individuals were taken into custody and the identified substances have been forwarded for analysis.

In addition to this incident, further arrests related to the possession of marijuana occurred at several locations including the Nausori market, Lautoka, Sigatoka, Labasa bus stand, and Vunivau in Labasa. Police confirmed that all seized items have been sent for analysis.
