Vodafone Fiji Bati star Maika Sivo has received clearance from the Parramatta Eels to seek new opportunities to advance his career. The 31-year-old winger is now actively searching for a new club, with his manager already in discussions with multiple teams abroad.

Sivo has confirmed that negotiations are underway with the Rhinos, and the speculation regarding his move to the Super League and a reunion with former coach Brad Arthur appears to be gaining traction.

While contemplating the move, Sivo expressed deep affection for the Eels, referring to the club as his second home. He pledged that he would not compete against the Eels out of gratitude for the support extended to him and his family.

“I will always remember that place from the bottom of my heart, especially because my children were born there. The Eels represent my entire footy career, and I will cherish the memories made there forever,” he stated.

Eels General Manager Mark O’Neill acknowledged Sivo’s significant contributions to the club and wished him well in his future pursuits. O’Neill highlighted that Sivo will always be regarded as a member of the Eels family.

In the midst of this transition, Sivo remains dedicated to representing the Vodafone Fiji Bati in the upcoming Pacific Rugby League Bowl Championship match against the Cook Island Aitu, set for tomorrow at 8:10 PM at the HFC Bank Stadium.
