Fully Fijian family-owned Likuliku Lagoon Resort, a luxury resort exclusively for couples, has once again made the list of the top 20 resorts in the Conde Nast Traveler annual Readers’ Choice Awards for Australia and the South Pacific. Tony Whitton, owner and managing director of Ahura Resorts, praised the resort’s enduring reputation as it celebrates its 18th year, emphasizing the honor of receiving the Conde Nast Readers’ Choice award for the seventh consecutive time.
Whitton noted that this recognition reflects their commitment to providing an unmatched guest experience while also supporting Fijian families economically. Brad Calder, the group’s general manager, recognized the achievement as a testament to the high quality of their offerings and their consistent delivery on promises made to guests. He expressed gratitude towards the dedicated staff, management, and loyal guests for their ongoing support.
The Readers’ Choice Awards by Conde Nast Traveler are considered one of the most prestigious accolades in the travel industry, highlighting excellence in global destinations. This year, over 575,000 readers in the United States contributed their travel insights, highlighting the locales they look forward to revisiting.
In addition, Likuliku Lagoon Resort has announced a significant $10 million revitalization program scheduled for 2025, which will lead to its closure for three months from February to April next year. The results of the 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards will be available on Conde Nast Traveler’s website and will be featured in the magazine’s November issue.
