Luxury Fiji Resort Ranks Among Top 20 in Prestigious Awards

Likuliku Lagoon Resort, a luxury couples-only resort owned by a fully Fijian family, has once again secured a spot in the top 20 resorts of the Conde Nast Traveler annual Readers’ Choice Awards for Australia and the South Pacific.

Tony Whitton, the owner and managing director of Ahura Resorts, expressed honor in receiving this recognition for the seventh time, highlighting the resort’s 18-year legacy. “This acknowledges our commitment to delivering an unrivaled guest experience, which in turn supports many Fijian families,” Mr. Whitton stated.

Brad Calder, the group general manager, praised the accomplishment as evidence of the resort’s high-quality offerings and dedication to fulfilling promises made to guests. He extended gratitude to the remarkable staff, management, and loyal guests for their continued support.

The statement from the adults-only resort noted that the Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards are considered one of the most prestigious honors in the travel sector, recognizing excellence in global destinations. This year, over 575,000 readers from the United States provided insights and shared their travel experiences, highlighting locations they look forward to revisiting.

Additionally, Likuliku Lagoon Resort has announced a significant $10 million revitalization program scheduled for 2025, which will require the resort to close for three months, from February to April next year.

The complete list of the 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards will be available on Condé Nast Traveler’s website and featured in the upcoming November issue of the magazine.
